Hello everybody !
I am not a makeup artist, but I've been shortlisted in this competition.
Even I just won a consolation prize but I think this is the best experienced I ever had.

On the 20 December 2014, Cheras Leisure Mall- Myself and another 14 Makeup Enthusiasts Competed lived on stage to be crowned the winner of MASQUARADE MAKEUP DESIGN COMPETITION with major highlight in line with the "Christmas Masquarade" theme. Only 1 winner can bring back the RM1,500 CLM cash vouchers.

The main idea of this competition is to unleashing the 15 Makeup enthusiasts talent by making over models into mesmerizing mask wearers, only with our skilful makeup techniques and accessories.

We are required to completed our Masquerade Makeup within 45 minutes ! We were battled up for the chance to win lucrative prizes: 1st Prize – RM1,500 worth of CLM cash vouchers, 2nd Prize – RM1,000 worth of CLM cash vouchers, 3rd Prize – RM800 worth of CLM cash vouchers and 12 consolation prizes – RM200 worth of CLM cash vouchers each.

For me the Masquerade stage looked so simply elegant with less decorations compared to the other malls and the space area is quite small because already occupied with merchandise sellers.

Those on the picture above are the grand winner Yong Mun Cheng, 2nd winner Lim Hui Fen and the 3rd winner Lai Poh Leng. Congratulations once again.

So basically, I am with the consolation prize winners. Gonna be random namely - Angel Ling Yi Lu, Chia Li Yong, Cynthia Tay Xin Le, Lai Ngan Pik, Lim Ghaik May, Lim Lok Yee, Lim Ting Huan, Mak Whye Khi, Miow Zi Ying, Ng Pui Yan, Thong Mun Yee and including myself, Syafiera Yamin.

Most of them are from Perfect Point Make-up & Hair Academy Students. Wah, no wonder lah all of them so creative and I've seen their makeup stuff & tools are really rare and I haven't found the beauty cream in any stores like Watsons & Guardian yet !

Because I am the only person who is not really famous among them, so this is my model, Christine with the plain black dress. I fed up because my dress had to changed on the last minute because I received a called from one of the PR about their backup model was accident and need to change the dress. Logic or not ? But never mind la. Already happened. Actually I just don't mind about it.

My design was just a random glide eyeliner which I created a lot of swirls and lines with geometric & nature involved plus on I applied with many colors to achieve the rainbow effect. And surprisingly I named my design romantic garden masquarade.

Us before the competition starts !

Before the competition start, we were applied the makeup base on the models face so the models will look fresh plus saved our time during our competition while creating the masks painting on the stage.
